Jata’s family inherited Ayurveda from Marla’s family which has almost 21 generations of practice of traditional medicine in their family !
They were teaching the students free of cost and also used to provide hospitality.
Vd. Jatavallabhula Lakshminarayana Sastry (1904-76)
- Learnt Ayurveda from Marla brothers 1916-20
- In to Ayurveda practice since 1923
- Retired as Municipal Medical Officer in 1959
- Practiced till 1976
- Started ADARSHA CHIKITSALAYA

- Graduation in modern medicine in 1963
- Tutor in Rangaraya Medical College for 10 years
- In to Ayurveda practice since 1976
